Laughter Blithe By Me

The lustrous sun

kisses our cheeks,

As we examine

The falls

  Downward

      Spill

Mallard’s swim,

Breadcrumbs call

exchanging blows

Then scurry like

Lightning

   As more crumbs

         Descend

Our laughter blithe

Blue

  Heavens

      Rich

The trees oscillate green,

As winter dies away

My Prayer

Wake me up O Lord

Bring me to my knees

For I am comfortable

I do not, what I need

I lack your passion,

Your strength and desire,

But I know without you I am nothing

I look up to the sky and cry

Lord, Lord awake this poor sleeper

Use her, grow her.
